Join FCA for a video conversation with Scott Tong & Patti Waldmeir to discuss current Chinese affairs, adoption and their latest books.
Scott Tong is a news correspondent with Marketplace & author of A Village with My Name: A Family History of China's Opening to the World. He served as Marketplace China bureau chief from 2006-2010 and has reported from more than a dozen countries. He & his wife have 3 children including a daughter adopted from China. Patti Waldmeir works for Financial Times as the North America correspondent, covering autos, airlines, aircraft manufacturers and midwestern politics. She lived in Shanghai on assignment for 8 years. She is the author of Chinese Lessons: An American mother teaches her children how to be Chinese in China. She has 2 daughters adopted from China. This event will be held in the conference room of Community Grounds located at 560 40th Ave N in Columbia Heights. There will be a free copy of each book that will be given away as a drawing. |
